Goneaway

Identifies people who match to the goneaway suppression sources.

Description

Data8's Goneaway service checks the name and address of the records provided against a number of third party suppression sources.

The service can only be used for flagging or removing records from a marketing list.

This service is costed on a per hit basis.

Upload Options

The following options can be configured for this service at the upload stage.

Name	Description
Match Level	Match Level Set this to indicate how closely names need to match for a record to be considered a match by this service. Forename requires a fuzzy match on both the surname and forename, and single initials are not allowed to match. Initial requires a fuzzy match on both the surname and forename, allowing single initials to match. For example, "R Smith" would be allowed to match "Robert Smith", but "Richard Smith" and "Robert Smith" would not be considered a match. Surname allows two completely different forenames to match so long as they have a fuzzy match on the surname.
Data8 Goneaway Suppression File	Data8 Goneaway Suppression File Processes the data provided against the Data8 Goneaway Suppression File.
Re-mover	Re-mover Processes the data provided against the Re-mover file provided by The Ark.
InformationWorks	InformationWorks Processes the data provided against the Information Works file.
DBS Purifi	DBS Purifi Processes the data provided against the Purifi file provided by DBS.
Absolute Movers	Absolute Movers Processes the data provided against the Absolute Movers file provided by Experian.
NCOA Suppress	NCOA Suppress Processes the data provided against the NCOA Suppress file provided by The Royal Mail.
GAS	GAS Processes the data provided against the GAS file provided by The REaD Group.
Output Type	Output Type Set this to configure what should happen when a match is made by this service: Flag adds an extra column to your output file which is populated when a match is made and blank otherwise. Suppress removes any matching records from your output file.
Output Data Source	Output Data Source When appending flags, includes an additional column indicating which data source matched each record.
Output Goneaway Date	Output Goneaway Date When appending flags, includes an additional column indicating the date that the goneaway was registered on. Not all data sources provide this information - it will be provided where available.
Output Match Level	Output Match Level When appending flags, includes an additional column indicating how much of the name information in the supplied record matched that in the reference data source.

There are no options that can be configured for this service at the download stage.

Output Columns

This service adds the following columns to your output data.

Name	Description
Goneaway Flag	Goneaway Flag Only output if appending flags. Outputs "GA" to indicate a match and blank to indicate no match.
Goneaway Match Level	Goneaway Match Level Only output if appending flags and if the "Output Match Level" advanced option is selected. Outputs either "Surname", "Initial" or "Forename" to indicate the level at which the match has been made.
Goneaway Data Source	Goneaway Data Source Only output if appending flags and if the "Output Data Source" advanced option is selected. Provides a code to identify the name of the source file that the record has matched to. Codes are as follows: Data8Goneaway - Data8 Goneaway Suppression File ArkGA - Re-mover InformationWorksGA - InformationWorks DBS - DBS Purifi ExperianGoneaway - Absolute Movers USS - NCOA Suppress GAS - GAS
Goneaway Date	Goneaway Date Only output if appending flags and if the "Output Goneaway Date" advanced option is selected. Provides the Goneaway date of the record matched on the source file.
